Smart Homes a.k.a how the technology makes its presence everywhere we go
Have you seen any of the Marvel’s „Iron Man” movies in the past few years? I bet the most of you, who are reading the have seen at least one. Anyway, what I’m trying to point at, is the house of the main character, Tony Stark, is the best example of what a smart home is. In there you had nearly everything in the house connected to intranet so much so you could operate any appliance in there with a smartphone or tablet. „But that’s just an impression in the movie, you can’t mimic it in the real life” you may say. Well, both yes and no. As for now you may not be able to have your own AI in whole house, but you can have some substitution of it as a smart speaker with virtual assistant like Siri or Cortana. In addition to that, you can also add loads of different „Smart Home” - as it’s called - enabled devices, as the market is being literally flooded by them. You have led lights that connect to wifi network and remote control their brightness and color even from the other end of the globe, you have thermostats adjacent to radiators that learn what your preferred temperature is… I could count like this without end. The main idea is - to make your home full of technology, and everything in it at your fingertip. Some may argue that it may be used wrong, or pose danger to you (i.e. smart locks in the doors, that unlock as your smartphone approaches), some on the other hand imagine it as inevitable next level of evolution of our habitats. Whereas some also say that’ as everything in this world, it’s good uses it serves its purpose well and isn’t overused. Whether is a good trend/invention , or it’s unnecessary good in the houses, it’s not for me to judge.

It is probably not a coincidence that in most spy movies, when spies conspire to do something they want to hide from their bosses they turn to outdated, predigital technology.

Even if they are convenient.
